Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will play a vital part in the assembly and testing of medical devices. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards, following strict safety protocols, and ensuring all production documentation is accurate.
Location: Birmingham
Pay Rate: £12.65 per hour
Type: Full-time
Contract: 3 months (potential for extension)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Mon - Fri, 08:00 - 16:30)
Key Responsibilities
Production & Testing: Assist in the assembly and precision testing of medical devices.
Equipment Care: Perform routine maintenance and calibration of production equipment.
Documentation: Accurately complete worksheets, records, and digital logs.
Systems Use: Utilize ERP systems to track work progress and manage documentation.
Compliance: Strictly follow Health & Safety procedures and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
Team Support: Collaborate with the wider team to meet delivery goals and production targets.
Requirements
Education: GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths, English, and Science are essential.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency and the ability to follow complex written instructions (SOPs).
Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing, lab, or regulated production environment is highly preferred.
Attributes: High attention to detail, reliability, and a positive, "right-first-time" attitude.
