We are looking for someone with the credibility, expertise and ambition to lead on high quality professional development and Induction for Early Career Teachers, contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of Secondary Initial Teacher training and play a key role in shaping West London’s future teaching workforce.
As Teach West London continues to grow as a Teaching School Hub and accredited ITT provider, this role offers scope for progression. It would particularly suit someone who sees themselves taking on broader leadership responsibilities within the Teaching School Hub or Twyford CofE Academies Trust in the coming years.
The role will include:
• Leading on the delivery of high quality professional development for Early Career Teachers (ECTs), ensuring excellent facilitation, strong engagement and statutory support and assessment across induction (working across ECTP and Appropriate Body strands).
• To contribute to the delivery and quality assurance of Secondary Initial Teacher Training (ITT), including oversight of placements and the provision of bespoke support to schools, mentors and trainees when required.
• To support the recruitment of high quality trainees onto Teach West London’s ITT programmes.
The successful post-holder will support the Head of Hub to sustain the already successful TSH base at Ada Lovelace CofE High School. The role itself has scope for hybrid working by negotiation. Regular visits to partner schools to quality assure ITT and ECTP programme delivery and induction arrangements would be required as part of this role.
You will become part of an ambitious and highly experienced team committed to outstanding teacher development, and supported by a successful Teaching School Hub and Trust Leadership team.
Successful Candidates will:
• Have successful experience supporting, developing or training teachers, ECTs and trainees.
• Be confident analysing data, reporting accurately and using insight to drive improvement.
• Have the ability to build trusted professional relationships with schools, mentors, trainees and colleagues.
• Be well organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload with autonomy.
We offer:
• Excellent professional development.
• The opportunity to work with ambitious and highly experienced Teaching School Hub and Trust leaders.
• Positive working relationships at all levels and the chance to make a real impact across multiple schools.
• A supportive, forward thinking environment.
