Commercial Gas Engineer – Bury St Edmunds

Base salary of £45k - £50k | Realistic OTE of £60k | Company Van & Fuel | Local Work

What the role looks like day to day

You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and breakdown work on commercial gas heating systems, applying safe working practices and good engineering judgement. The work is a mix of planned maintenance, reactive repairs and occasional installation work, giving you a broad range of rewarding tasks.

You’ll also take part in our out‑of‑hours rota, with overtime and call‑out earning opportunities on top of your base salary.

What you’ll bring

Core ACS Domestic: CCN1, HTR1, CKR1, CENWAT
Commercial ACS: COCN1, ICPN1, TPCP1A, CDGA1, CIGA1

You’ll also need:


A full UK driving licence
Strong people skills and experience working in occupied commercial environments
A solid understanding of commercial gas legislation and safety requirements
Good knowledge of Health & Safety and best practice on commercial sites
The ability to manage your own workload and adapt to a range of customer needs
Recognised formal qualifications (NVQ Level 2 or equivalent) (desirable)
Additional qualifications such as LPG or Unvented (desirable)
