Person Specification Experience Essential Medical qualification with registration at the GMC Eligible to enter core training (post Foundation Year 2) Desirable Eligible to commence a PG course or equivalent Experience Essential Strong interest and involvement in medical education and previous experience of successful delivery of teaching Experience working as a doctor in an NHS Trust Desirable Awareness of current educational initiatives with regardto:patient safety, quality improvement, risk management, cross-speciality training Experience in student timetable development and design Participation in Quality Improvement projects Experience in administration, including timetables and/or rota management, with flexibility in planning Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Essential Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in partnership with others across the range of professions and levels of seniority Ability to plan and organise own work to deadlines with minimal supervision Good teaching skills and keen to develop teaching skills further Strong written and oral communication skills, with an ability to negotiate with staff at all levels Good presentation skills Able to work independently and within a formal team structure both as leader and team member An ability to use information technology effectively (in particular therange of Microsoft Office programs) and to manage data intelligently Self-motivating with a flexible approach to work and ability to work independently Able to manage simultaneous workstreams and deliver to deadlines Able to manage fluctuating workloads
