This is a wonderful opportunity to support me as I start my new job as an architectural assistant. I am based in Chesterfield but work in a nearby town so there will be some commuting. I also enjoy a good social life, so this role would also include going out to have fun on non-workdays. Basically, it’s a lovely job with lots of time for you to do your own things whilst I am busy working!
Up to 40 hours per week available for one person or on a job share basis.
8am-6pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday plus other days/times by mutual arrangement.
Roles and Responsibilities [?]
• Support getting ready to go to work
• Driving to and from my place of work
• Support in architectural studio (including setting up workstation and some simple notetaking in meetings)
• Preparing and supporting with drinks and food throughout the day
• Support with some aspects of personal care as I cannot use my hands or arms
• Assistance moving around inside safely (including holding my arm on any stairs and travelling between rooms)
• Assistance moving around outside safely (I use a portable wheelchair which requires putting up and down and pushing around)
• Facilitating social activities on non-workdays (such as cinema, dance events, the gym, cafes, seeing friends, etc.)
As the role will normally involve commuting to a place of work, the appointed person(s) must have a full UK driving license. You should either have your own car (for which mileage would be reimbursed) or be able to drive the Motability car provided (to do this they would need to be over 25 years old for insurance purposes).
I am looking for someone who is warm, caring and young-at-heart, someone who can offer companionship as well as practical assistance. Given the nature of the work, I also need someone who is trustworthy, punctual and reliable.
