Three days a week, in the office.
To ensure the property management database (Minerva) is maintained through regular reviews, delegated actions, and updates. To manage budgets and ensure the financial system (Unit4) accurately reflects the position.
Compliance – ensure all properties comply with relevant legislation, health and safety standards and Council policies. Promote innovation and creative solutions to meet the Council’s strategic vision for service-driven property needs.
Property Management – oversee the management of all council-owned properties, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and used efficiently. Ensure effective, efficient and economic provision of property and advice to Council and Service providers. To develop and sustain effective working relations with other internal and external stakeholders and contacts.
Asset Management – manage the Council’s property assets, including acquisitions, disposals, leases, and valuations. Ensure the Property Portfolio is reviewed on an annual basis, is managed in accordance with statutory requirements, good practice, and supports the Council objectives. To manage the outsourced annual fixed asset valuations and property insurance
Budget & Performance Management – prepare the property department budget, ensuring financial efficiency and accountability. Deliver targets and personal targets are understood and achievable. Where necessary arrange training as identified through 1-1 appraisals.
