Payroll & Administration Support Officer
Starting Salary: £28,142 per annum pro rata (SLCC scale 11 – 14)
Job Type: full-time. Fixed term contract for a period of twenty-four months. There is a 6-month probation period and a job evaluation will take place during this time.
Work Location: office based (with some work elsewhere in the community if needed)
Location: Prestatyn, North Wales, LL19 9LR
Prestatyn Town Council are recruiting a new officer to join our small team in the Nant Hall Road office (LL19 9LR). The Council is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive person to take the Council forward to meet the challenges and opportunities within the local council sector.
The position will be office, to help with day-to-day financial administration, payroll administration, shared reception duties and general office administration as needed.
Previous experience with administration, payroll and in a financial role or setting is required, along with a good level of education, a can-do attitude, an organised and practical approach to problem solving, strong public relations / customer service skills, administration skills, good IT literacy and the ability to work well alone, unsupervised and as part of a team.
The ability to coordinate, manage and balance your workload under pressure and provide an outstanding service to the council and community is important. A driving licence and experience of working within the public sector would be beneficial.
