Summary
We're looking for an Electrical Apprentice to join our Transportation Team based in Birmingham, working towards a Level 2 apprenticeship in Highway Electrical Maintenance and Installations
Transportation - Build and maintain infrastructure for the highways, rail, aviation and ports sectors, with a common goal of connecting people. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career.
Location: Thimble Mill Lane Depot, Birmingham
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: £20,800

How does an apprenticeship work?
As an Electrical Apprentice you'll be enrolled onto a Leve 2 apprenticeship in Highway Electrical Maintenance and Installations, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Transportation Team support with the overall design, build and maintenance of infrastructure of highways, with a common goal of connecting people.
Your day to day will include:
-Inspecting and testing equipment to ensure functionality and compliance with regulations
-Performing routine maintenance and repairs on electrical infrastructure
-Following strict health and safety regulations, including wearing PPE and working safely around roads.
-Gaining knowledge of electrical regulations and standards
What are we looking for?
The role of an Electrical Apprentice is great for you if you:
-Have GCSE Grade 4 or above in Maths and English
-18 years or older by the time the position starts
-Are willing to learn
-Self-motivated, punctual and organised
