Stroud High School is proud to celebrate its largest and most successful Sixth Form to date - and we are now looking for an inspiring Study Supervisor and Academic Mentor to join our thriving community. Our Sixth Form is a vibrant and high-performing place of study, where students consistently achieve exceptional outcomes and aim high in all they do. Ranked 4th out of over 3,500 state secondary schools by The Telegraph and described by Ofsted (2023) as a place where students ‘experience the exceptional every day,’ Stroud High Sixth Form (SHSF) is truly a place where everything is possible. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting young people with their A Level studies, helping them to realise their aspirations, and contributing to the positive, aspirational atmosphere that defines SHSF. You will enjoy working collaboratively as part of a dynamic and supportive team, committed to academic excellence and student wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with individual academic plans and pupil profiles
Work with Sixth Form students to develop organisation, time management, and revision strategies
Provide one-to-one mentoring, particularly for students with additional learning or pastoral needs
Supervise independent study sessions, ensuring a focused and productive learning environment
Support the Sixth Form team with administrative tasks related to work placements and enrichment activities
This role is ideal for someone passionate about student development and academic success within a supportive, aspirational setting. If you are motivated, organised, and keen to make a real difference in the lives of ambitious students, we would love to hear from you.
As a member of the support staff, this job has been designed to allow the right individual to come in and make this difference. Support and training will be provided.

Part-time – 37 hours per week, term time only plus insetFTE 0.839 - Actual Salary - £23,610 - £24,784paRequired ASAP
