The role
Carlisle Support Services is looking for an Operations Manager, to join a strong team of well trained, experienced, and passionate staff who strive to uphold company values and deliver exceptional services to our customers. Use the training provided to follow HSQE.
You will report into the local Contract Manager and work alongside to provide a comprehensive Security services set out within KPI’s and SLAs.
Varied shifts ranging from 8 to 12 working hours inclusive of days, nights, weekend days and weekend nights dependant on business needs and requirements. You will be responsible for and required to support the team on the ground.
Your core role will include but not be limited to the following activities:
• Ensure all sites are aligned with the client’s vision and methodology.
• Promote Carlisle Vision and values across the division.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and Assignment Instruction documents.
• Oversee documentation updates and management.
• Coordinate with suppliers for uniform orders and training.
• Deliver toolbox talks and site-specific training.
• Conduct welfare checks and operational audits.
• Assist in recruitment, interviews, and job advert creation.
• Manage employee compliance, including SIA renewals and vetting.
• Handle workforce scheduling and Timegate rostering.
• Monitor site patrol tags and fulfil site requirements.
• Generate monthly reports and operational data packs.
• Lead investigations and disciplinary hearings with HR.
• Support supervisor development and employee engagement initiatives.
• Act as an out-of-hours contact for urgent matters.
• Work closely with central functions to optimize operations.
• Oversee Visit-IT and Site-IT completion for employee site visits.
• Respond to queries and additional site requests.
• Liaise with multiple teams, including HR, Compliance, and Senior Management.
• Develop training and improvement projects.
• Manage site and contract development plans.
• Handle arbitration processes before payroll deadlines
The ideal candidate
• Ability to work and lead a team.
• Ability to be proactive and efficient in approach.
• Ability to solve problems and deal with ad hoc challenges.
• Control room experience
• Mobilization of large teams’ skills
• Finance management
• SIA License
• Full UK Driving License.
• CSAS to be completed
Successful candidates will be required to provide original documentation for detailed screening and vetting processes.
This could include the following: passport / driving licence / utility bill dated in the last 3 months / HMRC letter / original bank statement / original payslip / birth certificate / a valid share code.
