Assignment Type: Temporary, ongoing basis where you will be engaged via Hays.
Location: Chichester
Working Environment: office based on site - hybrid.

Role Overview / Day in the Life
Position: Quality Planner (Project Quality Engineer)
Focus: Works on long-term projects (4-5 years before production
Key Responsibilities -
Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams (engineering, suppliers, internal stakeholders); Lead advanced quality planning activities: Proficient in FMEA, Control Plans, SPCCreate inspection instructions; Design and check fixtures; collaborate with toolmakers;Oversee quality team; Quality Planners (each supported by a Quality Specialist); Quality Technicians (hands-on roles); Support safety testing (e.g., TRW Autoliv)
Skills & Experience
Strong ability to influence and communicate effectively in meetings; Confident in escalating issues and driving decisions; Automotive experience preferred (not essential); Proven engineering background with New Product Introduction (NPI) experience; Minimum 5 years' experience and an engineering degree
Familiarity with:
IQFMEA
Control plans (currently Excel-based)- Moving away from Excel-based processes
The Quality Planner defines specifications-requires strong technical understanding.
