To be responsible for leading and managing the delivery and development of the Coventry & Warwickshire Community Eating Disorder Service and Day Treatment Service and to work collaboratively with all other community mental health services acrossCoventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust (CWPT).



The post holder will hold the Eating Disorder Community and Day Treatment -portfolio for either adults of working age or older people.



To provide management and leadership to the Team Leads who will be driving the collective delivery of evidence-based interventions to the right person, from the right professional and at the right time and place.

The Operational Manager will have the day to day responsibility toensure the community and day treatment services operate in a safe, effective & efficient way and are part of the whole system of community mental health services. They will provide management and leadership to the team manager and teams who will be driving the collective delivery of evidence-based interventions to the right person, from the right professional and at the right time and place, as well as fostering collaborative working relationships with providers of MH services at a very local level.



The portfolio of this role is broad and will require the post-holder to work effectively with other speciality MH service leads within the teams to ensure that services are delivered safely and as required contractually.They will need to work in partnership across services and manage the complexities of matrix working, leadership and accountability for delivery of key targets and measurables for their services.

· They will deputise for the Head of Service when required.



· They may be required to lead complex incident, HR and/or complaint investigations.



· They will provide management and leadership for the provision of evidence based biopsychosocial practices to people in the eating disorder services who require specialist interventions and to ensure they have an active role in identifying, planning, and meeting their individual needs.



· The post holder will adopt and lead locally the implementation of the “no wrong door” philosophy across their place-based services, ensuring that the focus is assessment and the collective meeting of needs, moving away from tradition referral and wait ways of working, and becoming increasing aligned in skill and capacity, to the needs of the local population.



· They will work with and across professional and multi-agency groups withinprimary and secondary careto identify and implement systems and processes that support collaborative working to deliver a truly integrated care delivery approach.



· The post holder will be required to develop and maintain good communication and relationships between CWPT teams and those other local providers of MH services including Primary Care, the VCSE and the local authority.



· Using their operational experience, the post holder will contribute to the operational delivery of change programmes within the eating disorder services, but also the wider Mental Health Directorate.



· To develop the use of expert by experience/peer recovery roles and use of VCSE organisations in the eating disorder teams and will ensure these roles are clearly included in the pathway and provision of support offered.



· Support and manage the directorate to meet Trust and NHSI/E performance objectives.



· Ensure that all staff in the specific service areas are clear about what is expected of them (via the appraisal and Performance Management processes) and are working together in successful teams to deliver high quality patient services



· To ensure the delivery and compliance of mandatory training requirements for all staff.



· The post holder will be required to adapt to and undertake different or new duties in line with professional or organisational change.
