Registered Manager Homecare

Location: Denton (covering Manchester and Tameside)

Salary: Up to £65K depending on experience plus bonus

Ready to lead a homecare service with real scale and complexity?

Following a successful tender award, we're looking for a motivated Manager to lead this new contract and help establish it from the outset. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in shaping the delivery of an exciting new service

We're looking for an experienced Registered Manager to lead our Denton hub, covering homecare services across the Manchester and Tameside area. This branch operates on the Manchester local authority contract, so we need someone who understands what it takes to mobilise and manage commissioned care at this level.

This isn't a role for someone still finding their feet. We need a manager who's done this before — someone who knows how to mobilise contracts, manage large domiciliary care packages, and deliver consistent quality across a wide geography. If you've got that experience and you're looking for an organisation that will actually back you with the infrastructure to succeed, this is it.

Why Routes is the perfect place to lead:

We know managing a homecare service can be demanding — that's why we've built a support structure designed to help our managers thrive, not struggle alone.

You'll have backup at every turn:

Centralised support teams — HR, Payroll, Quality, and Marketing teams to name a few
Our in-house recruitment team — No more recruitment headaches. We recruit our own staff and have zero agency use, so you'll always have the team you need
Routes Academy — Ongoing training and development for you and your team, because we invest in your growth
Senior Leadership Team access — Regular support, mentoring, and a seat at the table where your voice matters
Digital Care Plans — Modern systems that make operations efficient from day one
Dedicated IT support — Friendly tech team on hand whenever you need them

Plus all the benefits you'd expect:

• Wellbeing and financial support through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
• 25 days holiday, additional bank holidays PLUS an extra day off for your birthday
• Pension Scheme to secure your future
• Competitive salary up to £65K plus attractive performance-based bonus
• A genuinely supportive workplace culture (seriously, we're good people!)
• Buy and sell holiday scheme

What we're looking for:

Proven experience as a Registered Manager in a domiciliary care setting — this is essential, not a step-up opportunity
Experience mobilising local authority or commissioned care contracts — ideally within the Manchester or Greater Manchester area
Strong understanding of managing care packages at scale across a wide geographic patch
NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
Solid understanding of CQC regulations and standards
Strong organisational and time management skills
Commercial awareness — you'll be managing budgets, resources, and contract performance
The drive and ambition to take a service forward and deliver excellence

What you'll be doing:

• Leading daily operations across the Manchester and Tameside area
• Mobilising and managing the Manchester local authority contract, ensuring all contractual obligations and KPIs are met
• Building and developing your team through coaching and Routes Academy
• Implementing care plans that truly meet service users' needs
• Ensuring CQC compliance and best practice (our Quality team guides you through inspections)
• Building strong relationships with commissioners, service users, families, and the local community
• Managing service budgets and resources effectively
• Driving service growth and maintaining high standards across a large, busy patch

This is more than just a job — it's your platform to lead with confidence.

For 15 years, Routes has been delivering high-quality homecare that puts people first. Now we're looking for experienced leaders who can take our Manchester service forward.

If you've got the contract management experience and the leadership to match, let's talk.

Apply today and take control of your career journey.
