Summary
The Experience Coordinator role is a mixed administrative and customer facing position. The successful candidate will be comfortable booking, planning and delivering exceptional experiences for guests, and maintaining our high standards for customer service. You must be able to work to your own initiative, showing excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to prioritise competing demands.
The role is performed onsite at Jackton Distillery, home of RAER Scotch Whisky and Something Blue Gin. Jackton Distillery was founded in 2020 on our family farm in South Lanarkshire; the first bottlings were released in January 2021. Since then, the distillery has only continued to grow, adding a visitor centre and tour programme in 2024, and an events programme in 2025.
Responsibilities
• Responding to and booking client requests for tours, private events, and overnight stays.
• Monitoring the bookings diary to avoid clashes and overbookings.
• Building positive and collaborative relationships with clients and key stakeholders, including travel trade partners.
• Planning and delivering onsite events such as open days, brand showcases, and activations, alongside the Head of Experience.
• Delivering events within budget and producing post-event reviews.
• Coordinating with Marketing to promote events and track registrations.
• Facilitating purchases and providing customer support at retail and in our Tasting Bar.
• Consistently achieving personal KPIs and departmental targets.
Requirements
Essential:
• At least 18 months experience in a relevant events, tourism, or drinks industry role.
• Demonstrated success in co-ordinating events, either internal or external.
• A guest-centred approach to customer service and excellent front-of-house manner.
• Exceptional organisational and record-keeping skills.
• Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Professional-level proficiency in the English language (C1 or equivalent).
• Confidence using MS Office, Teams, and Outlook.
• Flexibility for variable working hours including evening and weekend working.
• Right to Work in the UK.
• A current valid UK driver’s license.
• Applicants must be over the age of 18.
Desirable:
• Working knowledge of the Scottish tourism industry.
• Confidence using booking systems such as Fareharbor, Cloudbeds, and Eventbrite.
• Confidence using OTA platforms such as Booking.com.
• Business-level proficiency (B1 or equivalent) in written and spoken French, Spanish, or a similar modern language.
• Valid personal license.
