About the Role
Long Term Futures are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant ready to step up into a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) role. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants additional responsibility and to progress their career within SEN education.
You will support pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties. The role involves leading small group and 1:1 interventions, supporting pupils with EHCPs, and occasionally delivering pre-planned lessons. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to ensure pupils receive the support they need to succeed.
This role is ideal for someone confident, proactive, and looking to take the next step towards teaching or specialist SEN roles.
Key Responsibilities
Leading 1:1 and small group SEN interventions
Supporting pupils with EHCPs and additional needs
Delivering pre-planned lessons when required
Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
