We are excited to be able to recruit to a Consultant Clinical Psychologist post to lead the provision of psychological input across the Fylde and Wyre Children and Young People’s Mental Health (CYPMH) Service. The post-holder will be expected to set direction, provide clinical leadership and supervision for the psychologists and psychological therapists in the team (including professional governance of non-core professionals trained in a psychological therapy who use this as part of their role), and provide specialist psychological expertise into the wider multi-disciplinary CYPMH service.
The successful candidate will have a track record of leadership skills, expertise in at least one model of intervention, and have specific interest in at least one of the following domains: neuro-diversity or emerging personality problems/developmental trauma. If the applicant has other specialist interest they feel will add value to the role, this would also be welcomed The post-holder will be expected to contribute to the research and clinical approaches to one of these domains across the Trust, sharing expertise with practitioners from other localities. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the care group where we are in a process of redesign and transformation, hence candidates should also be able to demonstrate experience in service development.
