The post holder will demonstrate specialist knowledge and clinical skill in relation to Occupational therapy.2. To have an understanding of Health and Social Care policy and legislation for theservice user group, in relation to professional practice.3. The post holder will provide specialist occupational therapy interventionsunderpinned by the Model of Human Occupation and the principles of recovery andenablement.4. The post holder will manage a caseload under the supervision of a seniorOccupational Therapist, within the multidisciplinary context of the team.5. The post holder will apply an understanding of the effects of disability onoccupational performance and provide training and advice on lifestyle changes andadaptations to the service users social and physical environment.6. The post holder will ensure that all modification to treatment plans/interventions willinvolve the service user and where appropriate the carer; collaboratively identifyingand reviewing goals in the context of care planning.7. The post holder will plan and implement individual and/or group interventionscollaboratively, to enable service users to achieve valued goals and satisfactoryoccupational performance outcomes.8. The post holder will promote equality of outcome for service users that reflect theirmental health needs and those of ethnicity, gender, culture, physical health, and age.9. The post holder will promote social inclusion and physical and mental well-beingusing evidence-based practice.10.The post holder will work collaboratively with all disciplines as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) and across partner agencies to assure a high standard of care for service users and their relatives/carers. Please note for this role you will be required to travel independently around the county meeting strict time deadlines. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence* and have use of a vehicle. You cannot use public transport for this role as this is not a reliable form of transport and will not allow you to meet service needs.
