We are looking for an Apprentice, Financial Reporting to join the Finance team at Liverpool FC.

The Financial Reporting Apprentice will play a key role in supporting the team with the preparation of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information. This entry-level position is ideal for someone beginning their finance career and offers a blend of hands-on experience and formal study toward a recognised accounting or finance qualification.

In this role, the apprentice will gain practical exposure to financial reporting, controls, and compliance while developing core accounting knowledge and professional skills. They will work collaboratively across multiple departments to support the delivery of high‑quality financial information.

What will you be doing?

Under supervision and with appropriate training, the apprentice will:

  • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Support the production of statutory accounts and regulatory returns
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Support data collection and validation for reporting purposes
  • Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies
  • Assist during audits by preparing schedules and responding to basic queries
  • Maintain documentation and working papers to a high standard
  • Carry out general finance administration tasks as required
  • Participate actively in training, development activities, and apprenticeship coursework
