Support Worker for Children and Young People, Abingdon, £14.50-£18.50 per hour

Role Overview
We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Support Workers to join our team in Abingdon, specialising in working with children and young people who have neurodiversity, autism, and complex needs, providing person-centred care and support to enable them to lead fulfilling and independent lives. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively to deliver high-quality care and support services, and making a real difference in the lives of our service users. Key Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include providing individualised support to children and young people with neurodiversity, autism, and complex needs, assisting with daily living tasks, developing and implementing personalised support plans, and collaborating with our multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support. You will also be required to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts, to meet the needs of our service users, and to participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge in support work.

Required Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues. You will also require a flexible and adaptable approach, with a willingness to work in a variety of settings and with different service users. Previous experience of working with children and young people with complex needs is desirable, although not essential, as full training and support will be provided to help you develop your skills and knowledge in support work and social care.
