To support the FAFS Gravesend Fire Door project manager carrying out the Installations of Fire Doors and Passive fire products in accordance with the latest British and EN standards on small and large projects works within your capabilities, ensuring all works are to a high standard within Health & Safety and Quality company requirements. As a lead fire door fitter, you will be expected to build and mentor the team in the best practices of the industry
-To mentor the Gravesend fire door team in the Install and refurbishment of fire doors to manufacturers guidance and in line with our IFC third party accreditation.
-To mentor and support the Risley fire door team in the Install and refurbishment of fire doors to manufacturers guidance and in line with our IFC third party accreditation.
-To lead and assist in compliant repair and maintenance work in accordance with manufacturer guidance or BS8214.
-To conduct site audits on the installations of fire door sets installed by third party contractors.
-To support the department projects manager in daily / monthly running of the team.
-Customer relations and complaints management.
-To maintain a high level of customer service to our existing client portfolio.
-Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with our Health and Safety system
-Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care
-Assist in application of Passive fire stopping, practical experience advantageous
-Manual handling of fire doors to and from the area of installation ensuring the safety of all individuals in the area
-Removal of redundant fire doors for disposal
-Ensuring work area and storage area is always clean and tidy
A driven and enthusiastic individual that relish's a challenging environment, who can work under pressure and works well in a team environment or on their own, must have good communication skills. A minimum of 3 years' experience in the fitting of fire doors to industry standards. Flexible to work across single and multiple site locations. Demonstrable manual handling experience with good interpersonal skills.
