We are a specialist subcontractor delivering water infrastructure projects within a major UK water framework. Due to ongoing works in Haslemere, we are seeking an experienced Site Agent to take full responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of a live water project, working closely with the main contractor and framework partners.
Role OverviewAs Site Agent, you will be responsible for managing all on-site operations, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, within budget, and to the required quality and framework standards. You will lead the site team and act as the primary interface between our business, the main contractor, and client representatives.
Key Responsibilities-
Take full responsibility for site delivery of water infrastructure works

Lead and manage site teams including supervisors, engineers, and subcontractors

Ensure strict compliance with health & safety legislation, CDM regulations, and framework standards

Review, approve, and implement RAMS

Develop and maintain short-term programmes in line with overall project milestones

Manage labour, plant, materials, and subcontract performance
-
Monitor progress, manage risks, and resolve site issues proactively
-
Maintain accurate site documentation including diaries, permits, ITPs, and progress reports

Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed and specifications are met

Liaise with the main contractor, client representatives, and stakeholders
-
Support commercial functions including valuations, variations, and cost control
-
Proven experience as a Site Agent on water or utilities projects

Experience working within a regulated water framework environment

Strong understanding of NEC contracts (preferred)

SMSTS

CSCS (Manager level)

EUSR Water Hygiene (essential)

First Aid at Work

Strong leadership, planning, and communication skills

Commercial awareness and ability to manage programme and costs

Temporary Works Coordinator

Experience on live water networks

Background in civil engineering or utilities infrastructure
