Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) - South London
This established practice with over 20 years of history, is seeking a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join their close-knit team and elevate the practice's reputation even further.
Why This Role Stands Out
Imagine a role where you can truly make a difference, building lasting relationships with clients and their beloved pets. As part of this dynamic team, you'll work alongside a fantastic trainee nurse and a sole charge vet, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment. The role offers flexibility, with options to work 32 hours per week entirely in practice or extend to full-time hours with an additional day at another location. Enjoy a balanced schedule with a 1:3 branch Saturday rotation and a 1:10 Saturday rotation at the local Hospital, plus just one bank holiday per year. Best of all, there are no on-call requirements, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As the sole RVN, you'll play a pivotal role in re-establishing a close-knit client base, supporting your trainee nurse, and managing day-to-day practice life. You'll have the chance to perform nurse clinics, further strengthening your bond with patients. Leadership training is available to help you excel in your role, ensuring the practice runs smoothly. For complex cases, the practice is fully supported by the 24-hour local Hospital.
Key Duties Include:
- Providing high-quality nursing care
- Assisting the veterinary surgeon in theatre and consultations
- Maintaining comprehensive patient records
- Ensuring comfort and welfare for all pets
- Managing equipment and supplies
- Supporting and training new staff and student nurses
- Handling reception duties with efficiency and friendliness
Benefits and Perks
The salary ranges from £34,000 to £37,000 FTE, depending on experience, with ample room for growth.
Perks Include:
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro-rata for part-time)
- CPD budget and up to 2 days' paid CPD leave annually
- Paid 30-minute lunch breaks
- Reduced-rate private medical healthcare scheme and medical cashback incentives
- 24-hour Employee Assistance Programme
- RCVS and BVNA fees covered
- Shopping and colleague discounts
Join a practice where your skills and passion will be valued, and your career can flourish.
