Your new company
We are seeking a nurturing, flexible, and creative EYFS teacher to join our dedicated SEND Resource Base within a vibrant mainstream primary school. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on making learning accessible, joyful, and meaningful for young children with a range of additional needs.You will work in a specialist provision, you will work with small groups of pupils-primarily in the Early Years-who may have communication and interaction needs, developmental delays, sensory needs, or emerging social‑emotional challenges. Your role will be to deliver high‑quality, play‑based learning that supports each child's individual development while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning
Your new role
- Teaching small groups of EYFS pupils within the SEND Resource Base, following personalised learning plans
- Creating a warm, structured, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe and valued
- Using play‑based, sensory‑rich, and communication‑supportive approaches
- Working closely with support staff, therapists, and the wider school team
- Adapting activities to meet a range of learning styles and developmental needs
- Supporting smooth transitions between the Resource Base and mainstream settings where appropriate
- Maintaining positive relationships with families and contributing to a collaborative, child‑centred ethos
What you'll need to succeed
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with EYFS experience
- A genuine passion for early childhood development and inclusive education
- Confidence in adapting teaching for children with SEND
- Strong communication skills and a calm, compassionate approach
- Flexibility, resilience, and a willingness to learn
- Experience in a SEND setting is desirable but not essential-enthusiasm and the right mindset matter most
