Job Title: Teaching Assistant
Location: Ashley Park School, Epsom, Surrey KT18 7LR
Salary: £23,415.00 per annum / £14.00 per hour (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: March 2026

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to join the amazing team at Ashley Park School.

About the Role

At Ashley Park School, we’re seeking dedicated, compassionate Teaching Assistants who are passionate about making a difference. In this rewarding role, you’ll support pupils with additional needs to access learning, build independence, and flourish within a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll help deliver high-quality education and care, ensuring every pupil feels supported, valued, and empowered to achieve their potential.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Support class teachers to deliver engaging lessons for all students.
Provide 1:1 and small-group support to help pupils access the curriculum.
Promote pupils’ educational, emotional, and physical development.
Assist with planning, implementation, and review of individual support plans.
Help organise classrooms, resources, and learning materials.
Encourage positive behaviour, self-regulation, and social skills.
Ensure student safety and wellbeing, following safeguarding and risk assessment procedures.
Work collaboratively with teachers, care staff, families, and other professionals.
Maintain accurate records and keep up to date with best practices.
This is an ideal role for someone caring, organised, and committed to making a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils with additional needs.

About You

You will have:

Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools (desirable)
Willingness to work towards further qualifications as required (essential)
Completion of relevant induction training on commencement (essential)
A passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs

Ashley Park School is a brand-new independent specialist school in Epsom, Surrey, for autistic young people aged 11–19, with a capacity for 60 pupils.

We provide a safe, supportive, and inspiring environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Personalised teaching, differentiated lessons, and tailored therapeutic support ensure each pupil’s unique needs and abilities are met.

Our curriculum combines academic study, vocational pathways, and life skills, preparing young people to achieve their full potential and future aspirations.
