Crynodeb
Chalfont Construction Limited is a growing, well organised civil engineering company, delivering groundworks and reinforced concrete works across the UK. We are looking for a practical, reliable individual with a hands on background who wants to build a long term career in project management.
This role is designed as a structured development pathway into project management. You’ll learn how projects are planned, costed, coordinated, and delivered — with direct mentoring from senior directors.
If you’ve worked on the tools or in a practical role and want a clear, supported route into project management, we’d like to hear from you.
What you will learn
• How projects are scoped, priced, scheduled, and controlled
• How to prepare programmes, RAMS, and project documentation
• Procurement, supplier coordination, and cost tracking
• Manage variations, change control, and client communications
• How to run progress meetings and produce project reports
Who this role is perfect for
• Someone with a trades, labouring, or manual work background
• A practical thinker who wants to move into planning, coordination, and management
• Someone who enjoys construction but wants to step away from the tools
• A person who wants a structured route into Project Management
• Someone who wants a long term professional career, not just a job
What we’re looking for
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A willingness to learn the commercial and planning side of projects
• Basic IT skills (email, forms, simple spreadsheets) — training provided
• A full UK driving licence
What we offer
• Training in planning, commercial awareness, and project controls
• Opportunities to gain formal qualifications (SMSTS, H&S, PM training)
• A stable, friendly company that values progression
