WellChild, based in Cheltenham, is the national charity for seriously ill children and their families. Through a range of practical and emotional support, training, and information programmes, WellChild gives children and young people with complex medical needs the best chance to thrive, at home.
What we are looking for:
We are currently looking for part time admin support within our Operations Team. This is a busy and varied role, with day to day support to the Director of Operations and oversight of HR admin tasks alongside this will be supporting the wider Operations team. Previous administration experience is preferred but this doesn’t necessarily need to be in HR although that would be advantageous.
What is important is that you have excellent IT and administration skills, are able to plan, prioritise and organise your work and have good attention to detail. Being approachable, flexible with excellent communication skills alongside an empathetic customer focussed approach would also fit in well this role.
What you will do:
Provide broad operational and HR support across the organisation, assisting the Director of Operations with governance administration, Trustee coordination, meeting preparation, staff communications and project work; and the HR Manager with all recruitment processes, onboarding, DBS and right to work checks, employee records, training schedules and general HR queries. In addition, you will assist with IT asset tracking, policy updates, general office support and monthly reporting.
About you:
• Experience of working in a busy and varied administrative support role
• Experience of supporting senior leadership teams, HR and or Trustee’s (desirable)
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Understanding of the confidential nature of using data & GDPR
• Able to quickly assimilate and interpret information accurately
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM’s such as Raiser’s Edge is a plus.
• Ability to collaborate with other teams across the organisation
• A desire and commitment to provide the best possible service.
