Responsibilities:
Working alongside the director and other members of the team you will provide a supporting role, dealing with a wide variety of activities within the commercial flooring sector, including but not limited to the following:
The company will look to develop your skills and your training will include.
Learning Project Management
Estimating Project Costs: Analysing project documentation to estimate costs, including materials, equipment, and labour.
Client Interaction: Taking telephone inquiries from clients, discussing project briefs, and submitting bids and tenders.
Data Gathering: Assisting with gathering data, calculating costs, and preparing budget proposals.
Research and Negotiation: Researching and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors.
Qualifications typically include strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.
To develop the knowledge of a broad spectrum of flooring materials & floor finishes
To be trained in recognising on how to identify subfloor preparation requirements along with the associated products
To be trained in carrying out site surveys and understanding site conditions and requirements for the flooring installations
Calculating construction drawings and carrying out quantity take offs and translating into estimates
To develop the commercial knowledge of the operations that are undertaken on live sites.
Health & safety requirements and how to develop site documentation for Risk assessments & Method statements

Essential Criteria:
• Ability to communicate with others.
• Ability to work on own initiative.
• Desire to learn and succeed.
• Some construction knowledge of the sector would also be useful.
• Computer/ excel literate.
