Summary
Are you looking to start a career in housing development and learn how new homes are delivered from land acquisition to completion? We’re looking for a land & new business trainee to join our land and new homes team, supporting the progression of land opportunities while developing your skills alongside experienced colleagues.
This role provides full support through a structured programme of learning and development. You will gain hands-on experience across land and new business, including opportunity identification, due diligence, financial appraisals, legal agreements and internal approvals. You will also develop a strong understanding of the housing development and construction industry, including funding, governance and compliance requirements, and how schemes are managed from early stages to delivery.
You will work closely with colleagues and stakeholders, building effective relationships and supporting the progression of projects. The role includes attending site visits and meetings, giving practical insight into how development schemes come to life.
This role is permanent and full-time. You’ll be based from our main office in Chipping with regular travel for events and site visits required.
You will have:
- Enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn
- Strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset
- GCSEs or A Levels (A–D grades or equivalent)
- A degree in a relevant subject such as construction, law, housing, or the built environment (desirable)
- Ability to follow processes accurately and work methodically
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- A full driving licence and the ability to drive
- Able to complete a basic DBS check
