Summary
Site Engineer – Mechanical – Mechanical fitter £36.5K + Overtime, Electrician £ 42K + Overtime – Port Talbot
Work on secure UK sites, gain top-tier technical skills, and take the lead on projects from day one.
Looking for a role that gets you out on the road, hands-on with high-security installations, and offers proper training to boost your mechanical and electrical skills? At Rhino Doors, we give you all that—plus the chance to work on projects that most people never get to see.
Why This Job Stands Out
• High-security, high-profile sites – your work really matters
• Full training provided – build specialist skills fast
• Lead small teams – take control of the job and deliver results
• Travel the UK – every week is different
• Supportive team – work with people who get stuck in and have your back
What You'll Do
You’ll install and maintain a range of specialist doors – sliding, hinged, fire-rated, manual and electric. Most of the work is on-site, where you’ll follow technical drawings, use power tools safely, and make sure each job is completed to a high standard. You’ll often lead or support a small team, so there’s real ownership from the start.
The role involves national travel, overnight stays during the week, and the occasional weekend. You need to live near our Port Talbot (South Wales) or Bamber Bridge (Preston) depot.
What You Need
• Born in the UK with a full UK passport (Security Clearance is required)
• CSCS card (SSSTS if applying for a supervisor role)
• Willing to travel and stay away regularly
• Confident with both mechanical and electrical tasks (training provided)
If You're an Electrician, You Also Need:
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395
• ECS Gold Card (or equivalent)
• Experience with control panels and industrial wiring
• Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)
• Experience on secure or high-risk sites
• IPAF, PASMA, SSSTS
• Forklift or Telehandler licence
