Practice Compliance Manager
About Us
We are a respected multi-disciplinary Building Surveying practice and recognised market leader within the social housing sector. For years, we have delivered outstanding services to local authorities and housing associations, building long standing relationships based on trust, innovation and a commitment to excellence. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Practice Compliance Manager to join our team and support our continued success.
This role is open to full or part-time hours, however a minimum of 25 hours is required.
The Role
As our Practice Compliance Manager, you will take ownership of our established internal business management systems, ensuring they remain robust, compliant and aligned with best practice. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our organisation and provides an opportunity to influence continuous improvement across the Practice.
You will oversee:
• FFT Information Management System: Our integrated digital system supporting ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).
• General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) compliance, acting as the Practice’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).
• FFT Policy Documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance and continual development.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage and maintain our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001), ensuring quality, environmental and H&S compliance across the Practice.
• Act as the Practice’s Data Protection Officer (DPO), overseeing GDPR compliance, DPIAs, DSAs and secure data handling via our GDPR portal.
• Maintain and update FFT policy documentation, ensuring alignment with legislation and organisational requirements.
• Lead internal auditing activities and coordinate annual external audits, including BSI assessments.
• Support environmental initiatives, including carbon reduction planning, monitoring energy usage and maintaining statutory environmental evidence.
• Provide training and guidance on ISO systems, GDPR processes and induction for new staff.
• Collaborate with project teams and senior leaders to improve system adherence, digital file management and overall compliance performance.
Skills and Experience
• Comprehensive understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
• Strong working knowledge of GDPR and DPO duties
• Experience managing Integrated Management Systems
• Prior experience managing business support systems and conducting external or internal audits
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications
• Internal or Lead Auditor certification for ISO 9001, 14001 or 45001
• NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
• IOSH Managing Safely
