About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to join Switch Up at an exciting stage of organisational growth.
This is a senior operational leadership role and a strategic partner to the CEO, responsible for ensuring Switch Up operates as a
safe, compliant, people-led and high-performing organisation.
You will provide strategic oversight across business operations, including people practice, safeguarding, compliance, quality,
data, IT and community hubs, ensuring systems and teams are aligned with our mission, values and growth ambitions.
Safeguarding, relational practice and community leadership sit at the heart of this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership and oversight of core business operations and functional leads
* Lead organisational approaches to safeguarding, compliance, risk and quality assurance
* Oversee HR and people practice, including performance management and staff development
* Ensure robust systems for data, monitoring, reporting and continuous improvement
* Provide leadership oversight of Switch Up’s Community Hubs, ensuring safe, inclusive and welcoming environments
* Work with the CEO and senior colleagues on budgets, sustainability and organisational growth
* Act as a visible leader who models Switch Up’s values and community-led ethos
About You
You will be a confident, values-driven leader who is comfortable operating at both strategic and organisational level.
You will have:
* Senior operational or business leadership experience
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding and organisational compliance
* Proven people leadership and performance management experience
* Experience overseeing systems, processes, data and quality
* The ability to partner with senior leaders and Trustees
* A strong commitment to equality, inclusion and community-led practice
Experience within the voluntary, community, youth or education sector is desirable but not essential.
