Morgan Hunt are working with a large college in the Rochdale area who are seeking full-time Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) for long-term roles starting immediately. These roles are ideal for candidates with experience supporting students with additional needs who are passionate about making a positive impact in the classroom. Students are aged 16-25 years old and have range of additional needs.

The role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, including children with SEND, SEMH or learning difficulties. You may provide support on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, helping pupils access the curriculum, manage behaviour and build confidence. Schools are looking for calm, patient and proactive LSAs who can build strong, trusting relationships with pupils.

Responsibilities
- Providing targeted 1:1 or small-group support
- Supporting pupils with SEND, SEMH or additional learning needs
- Assisting class teachers with lesson delivery and differentiation
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development
- Maintaining a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
- Working closely with SEND teams, pastoral staff and parents where required

The ideal candidate
- Experience supporting students with additional needs (essential)
- Calm, patient and confident in managing challenging behaviour
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable, proactive and committed to inclusion
- Good understanding of safeguarding and education policies
