The Senior Quality Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Trust’s commitment to delivering safe, effective, and high-quality care. The post holder will contribute to the analysis and interpretation of quality, safety, and patient experience data to inform decision-making and drive improvement initiatives. Working closely with the Quality Systems and Analytics Manager, clinical governance teams, and operational leaders, they will ensure robust data accuracy, develop insightful dashboards, and provide expert advice on quality metrics. The role also supports compliance with national standards, regulatory requirements, and internal assurance processes, contributing to the Trust’s Quality Strategy.
Extract, analyse, and interpret quality, safety, and patient experience data from multiple sources.
Produce clear, high-impact dashboards and reports for senior leaders, governance committees, and regulators.
Identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities through advanced analysis and thematic reviews.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and assurance of quality data and reporting.
Maintain and develop quality data systems, reporting tools, and data visualisations to support decision-making.
Support regulatory compliance, audits, and assurance processes (e.g. CQC, Quality Accounts).
Provide expert training and support to users, enabling effective use and interpretation of quality data.
Communicate complex insights clearly to clinical, operational, and corporate audiences.
Work collaboratively with teams to support and monitor quality improvement plans.

Data Analysis and Reporting
· Support the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of quality, safety, and patient experience data from multiple sources.
· Produce high-quality dashboards and reports for governance committees, senior management, and external regulators.
· Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement through thematic reviews and root cause analysis.
· Ensure data accuracy and consistency through robust validation and quality assurance processes.
System Support and Development
· Maintain and enhance quality data systems and analytical tools, ensuring they meet evolving organisational needs.
· Support the implementation of system upgrades and new functionality to improve reporting and user experience.
· Provide expert input into the design of data visualisation tools to support decision-making.
Governance and Administration
· Support compliance with CQC standards, NHS Outcomes Framework, and Quality Accounts.
· Contribute to internal and external audit and assurance processes, preparing evidence and reports as required.
· Escalate and manage risks related to quality data and reporting in line with Trust policy.
Training and User Support
· Deliver training and guidance to staff on quality metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools.
· Provide one-to-one and group support to users, ensuring effective use of systems and interpretation of data.
· Develop and maintain user guides and reference materials.
Collaboration and Communication
· Build strong relationships with clinical governance teams, ICT, operational managers, and external partners.
· Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear, accessible manner to non-technical audiences.
· Represent the analytics function at Quality Review Meetings, Governance Sub-Committees, and working groups.
· Work collaboratively with clinical and corporate teams to develop and monitor quality improvement plans.
