Are you the right person for the job?

Ideally, you will have:

• At least 3 years’ experience working within a Residential Conveyancing department
• Experience handling both sales and purchases from instruction to post-completion
• A good understanding of the full conveyancing process
• Familiarity with the Land Registry portal, HMRC portal, LMS, or Lender Exchange (desirable)
• Experience using a case management system (LEAP preferred)
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage a busy workload
• Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems
• A proactive, can-do attitude with strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Accurate audio typing skills
• Experience with diary management and liaising with clients
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team

What will your role look like?

Your responsibilities will include:

• Opening, updating, and closing matter files, accurately recording client data using LEAP
• Taking initial client enquiries and passing relevant information to fee earners
• Carrying out ID and AML checks when opening new files
• Preparing contract packs and carrying out property searches
• Ordering redemption statements and assisting with completions
• Preparing bills and financial documentation
• Managing post-completion work, including SDLT returns, Land Registry applications, and deeds schedules
• Acting as a point of contact for internal and external callers, relaying messages promptly
• Updating clients and estate agents throughout the conveyancing process
• Assisting with general office duties such as copying, scanning, and printing
