Long Term Futures is recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a newly established specialist SEN school in the Spalding area. The school supports children and young people aged 2-19 with learning difficulties, disabilities and social, emotional and mental health needs.
The setting focuses on small-group learning, high levels of staff support and personalised approaches. Pupils are supported to build confidence, regulate emotions and re-engage with education through a curriculum centred on practical learning, life skills and independence.
Your Role
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils
- Assist with practical, hands-on learning activities
- Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing and engagement
- Support pupils to develop independence, communication and social skills
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Who We're Keen to Hear From
- Individuals with experience in education, care, youth work, mentoring, sports coaching or similar
- People who are patient, resilient and passionate about supporting children and young people
What You'll Need
- A calm, flexible and supportive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Confidence working in a specialist setting
- Commitment to safeguarding
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
