An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated Staff Nurse with excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding holistic care to join the Dialysis Team on secondment. The Renal Dialysis Unit is a diverse, multi-disciplinary environment which requires flexible and adaptable skills, an aptitude to learn and a motivation to develop your own clinical skills in line with progressive service delivery.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate an ability to provide high quality safe nursing care which is driven by patient experience and evidence based best practice.

We believe in supporting patients to be as independent as possible and participate in shared care. There will be opportunity to become actively involved in helping the patient on their journey to independence. Most patients attend the unit 3 times a week for many years so the position is ideal for anyone who wants to work in an area you really get to know your patients and can provide exceptional care.

We care for in-patients who become unwell and require dialysis whilst an in-patient so there is an element of acute care within the unit also.

The successful applicant will enjoy working in a technical fast paced environment working in the Haemodialysis Unit.

To provide high standard of evidence-based patient centred care.

To work with the team to maintain the efficient running of the ward and contribute to and deputise in the absence of more senior staff.

To provide care to a group of patients in accordance with NMC code of professional conduct, Trust policies and procedures.

To manage the shift on a regular basis in the absence of the ward/ departmental senior nurse and senior staff nurse.

Communicate effectively with staff at all levels throughout the organisation and external agencies as well as patients, visitors and the general public.
