Role Information:

FTE Salary: Up to £37,545.00 (Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience)
Actual Salary: Up to £15,018.00
Contract Type: Part-time, Permanent
Working Hours: 14.8 hour per week

About the Role
Our Creative Sector is highly successful, and we are looking to appoint a Lecturer in Photography to support delivery on our Level 3 programmes at the WISE campus.
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic photography educator to join our team at Bristol School of Art on a permanent basis. You will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching on Level 3 courses, with opportunities to contribute across our wider art provision.
Bristol School of Art has an excellent reputation for outstanding creative provision across both campuses. We enrich learners with new interests and skills, promoting wellbeing and social inclusion as a gateway to further and higher education and/or creative careers. The successful candidate will join our creative team at the WISE campus.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Candidates should be confident in delivering excellent lessons to level 3 students, knowledge of the UAL qualifications would be beneficial. The successful candidates will have the ability to inspire and motivate a range of students.
· The candidate should be confident in delivering engaging lessons to level 3 learners.
· Support students personal and academic growth, whilst fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being, encourages participation and celebrates each student’s unique talents.
· The successful candidate will have the ability to inspire and motive all students with a range of needs and experiences.
· A knowledge of the UAL qualifications would be beneficial.
· We are looking for a lecturer in photography to deliver both dark room and digital skills. Additional multidisciplinary skills are welcomed.
· Promote innovation and real-world employability skills.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
· Further Education Lecturing experience
· BA in a relevant discipline
· Teaching qualification is desirable or a willingness to obtain a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
· A proven aptitude for teaching and experience of teaching creative subjects.
· Proven experience in managing the administrative tasks involved in preparing learning materials and assessing student work
· A creative practitioner with a diverse range of traditional dark room and contemporary digital knowledge and skills.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential
· Excellent organisational and administrative skills
· Computer literacy and ICT competence.
