Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner

Zero2Five are delighted to partner with a high-quality nursery setting in Bristol that is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Nursery Practitioner. The successful candidate will join a knowledgeable and supportive team, providing a warm and friendly, inspiring, excellent care for children from birth to five years old in a safe, secure and stimulating home-from-home environment.

Requirements:

ï‚· A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare (such as CACHE, NVQ, or BTEC)

• ï‚· Paediatric First Aid qualification, or a willingness to work towards obtaining it
• ï‚· Strong understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures
• ï‚· At least two years’ experience working in an early years environment, with hands-on experience in a baby room
• ï‚· Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles
• ï‚· Experience supporting colleagues or showing leadership potential is beneficial, but not a requirement
• ï‚· A genuine enthusiasm for early years education and a strong commitment to children’s welfare
• ï‚· A warm, positive, and professional manner at all times
• ï‚· Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• ï‚· Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
• ï‚· Reliable, flexible, and well-organised, with strong time management skills
• ï‚· Open to feedback and motivated to develop leadership skills



Key Responsibilities:

• Encourage children to learn and develop in all seven areas of learning.
• Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework
• Hold key person meetings with parents
• Be knowledgeable of health and safety issues to ensure children are safe
• Complete key child spotlight every 3-6 months.
• Provide activities and experiences through in the moment planning, ensure the nursery environment supports children in their learning and development
• Work closely with parents and give verbal and written feedback and on a daily basis
• Attend regular staff meetings
• Take care of children’s basic needs e.g. change nappies/toileting/ meal times
• Be knowledgeable of child protection and safeguarding and report any concerns
• Complete regular Continuous Professional Development
• Attend out of hours staff meetings and nursery social events
