Humanities Teacher – Full-time, temporary paternity cover role from March 2026

Duties as Humanities Teacher:
- Teach planned lessons in Philosophy and Religion, Religious Studies, and Sociology
- Deliver high‑quality lessons with no planning or marking required
- Support pupils in developing critical thinking, discussion, and analytical skills
- Maintain consistent behaviour expectations and promote positive routines
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet varied learning needs
- Provide general cover across the school when required
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a cohesive curriculum approach
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Humanities Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience in Humanities subjects
- Confident delivering Philosophy and Religion, Religious Studies, and Sociology at secondary level
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to engage pupils in reflective and analytical thinking
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Flexible, proactive, and committed to supporting pupil progress
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
