Summary

​Equans are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a 12 month FTC. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package. The post holder can be based anywhere in the UK. The Quantity Surveyor will be a member of the commercial resource supporting the operational team within the HMCTS contract where EQUANS complete Project Works. They will provide contract commercial management services and profit improvement along with focus on compliance. In addition, they may be required to support growth within the Sector on the existing contracts as well as new business development initiatives to extend the suite of contracts. The Quantity Surveyor will manage numerous stakeholder relationships, including those with client representatives; EQUANS’s operational teams and other colleagues who provide functional support to the contracts (e.g. risk, finance, HR etc). What will you deliver?Identifying, monitoring and reporting on risksSupporting the management and mitigation of risks at all levels (operational, financial, commercial, technical, etc)Management of variation/change control to capture revenueLeading governance within the contracts to ensure that the requirements of the contract and EQUANS own internal governance processes are being complied withSupporting the Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor in the satisfaction of contract and company objectivesTaking the Commercial lead with clients directly to identify and resolve variations from the contract deliverablesParticipating in contract governance processes including presenting to Sector Commitment Committee and UK Commitment CommitteeNegotiating, on an equitable basis, internally and externally to ensure that the business is not exposed to riskHaving a thorough input into the dispute resolution activityEnsuring a contract review and governance framework is embedded on all contractsDealing reactively in mitigation key risk areas as they arise and providing support to Finance and Operations to resolve in a timely mannerWorking within the operating environment to ensure EQUANS’s Code of Conduct is thoroughly understood, adhered to and promoted across the business to ensure safe, compliant and consistent working practicesBehaving with integrity and demonstrating professional image at all times.
