I’m a man in my forties looking for a friendly, reliable support worker to help me get out and about and explore my local community.
I enjoy visiting animals, museums, and historical buildings, and I enjoy going swimming and bowling so I’m looking for someone who is supportive, patient, and happy to join me on a variety of outings.
If you enjoy being out in the community and helping someone make the most of their day, I’d love to hear from you.
Duties include:
- Medication prompting/administering
- Personal grooming
- Other relevant duties as required
- Housekeeping
- Shopping
- Transportation
- Companionship
- Bathroom assistance
Candidate qualities:
- Respectful of the employer's privacy and confidentiality
- Reliable with good timekeeping
- Able to both follow instructions and work on own initiative
- Hygienic, tidy and well organised
- Fit and healthy to undertake the required duties
- Patient and possess excellent interpersonal skills
- Honest and cheerful
- Creative
- Able to speak and read English to a reasonable standard
- Able to always work to high standards of health & safety
Additional requirements
Non-smoker preferred or someone willing to refrain from smoking during working hours, Vulnerable to the risk of infection and disease transmission
