Secondary Teachers - September Starts - NG & DE (All Subjects)
Are you a qualified teacher considering your options for September (or sooner)?
We are working with a wide network of secondary schools across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, with additional opportunities in Leicestershire, Birmingham and Coventry, who are already planning their staffing for the new academic year.
This is an evergreen opportunity for teachers who want to be represented early and matched to the right school, not just the first available vacancy.

Roles available
We are recruiting teachers across all secondary subjects, with particular demand for:
- Maths
- English
- Science

Opportunities include:
- Long-term roles
- Temp-to-perm opportunities
- Permanent roles (via direct school appointments)

There are also occasional primary opportunities for teachers open to KS2 roles.

What schools are looking for
- QTS / QTLS (or working towards QTS)
- Experience teaching KS3 and/or KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
- Passion for student progress and engagement
- Open to long-term or permanent opportunities

ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.

Why apply through us?
- Early access to September roles before they are advertised
- Representation to multiple schools with one application
- Honest guidance on schools, leadership teams and expectations
- Long-term opportunities with stability and consistency
- A consultative approach - no pressure, no constant chasing

Next steps
If you are a teacher who wants to be proactively represented for September (or earlier opportunities), apply today to arrange a confidential discussion.
Even if you're not actively applying yet, an early conversation can put you in a strong position for the next academic year.
Long Term Futures is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All applicants will be subject to safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
