Childcare Manager | Early Years Manager – Penrith
Humly is recruiting a Childcare Manager / Early Years Manager to join a non-class setting on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 23/02/2026 and continuing until 04/01/2027. The role would suit an experienced early years leader who values play-based learning, enjoys a hands-on approach, and is confident leading a dedicated team in a hotel-based childcare environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Lead and manage a team of childcare practitioners to deliver high-quality provision for children aged 6 months to 12 years
Plan, implement, and oversee stimulating play-based activities, both indoors and outdoors
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and development of all children within the setting
Maintain compliance with Ofsted regulations and internal policies
Support and supervise additional services, including babysitting sessions and supervised activities
Monitor and evaluate the quality of care and learning, implementing improvements as needed
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in early years management or leadership
Knowledge of statutory frameworks, safeguarding, and Ofsted requirements
Strong organisational, communication, and team leadership skills
Ability to foster a nurturing and inclusive environment for children and staff
Passion for the power of play and child development
Relevant qualifications in Early Years or Childcare
Pay
£33,000 – £36,000 per annum + monthly share of tips

Important Information
40 hours per week over 5 days (Monday–Sunday; job share considered)
Non-class setting-based position
