Working hours: 15 hours per weekInterview Date: 20 March 2026Job Summary:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and committed individual to join the Salvation Army Debt Advice Team. We are looking to recruit a Debt Advice Caseworker to support the increasing number of people seeking advice from our Bedford service.The successful candidate will be accountable to the Coordinator and the Corps Officer(s) at Bedford. You will need to be able to attend departmental meetings and training as required.Key Responsibilities: Supported by the Salvation Army’s national Financial Inclusion Development and Quality managers, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing a debt caseload of clients and supporting clients in finding a debt solution whilst providing financial capability sessions.Successful candidate will have: The ability and desire to support those people burdened with debtGood communication skillsAdministration, IT and advisory experience.Ability to work on your own initiative and in a teamThe post-holder will support the mission of the Salvation Army by meeting the needs of those struggling with debt.In order to complete your application please download and read the job profile and any other attachments.In the job profile you will find the criteria required for the role please make sure that you address this in your supporting statement as this forms the basis of our shortlisting.Appointment subject to satisfactory references, proof of right to work in the UK and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Disclosure check of the Adult workforce and relevant qualifications.
