Both roles attract an additional allowance for essential car user.
Contract: Permanent 37hrs per week.
Role specifics: DipSW/CQSW/CSS/AMHP qualification or equivalent. AMHP must evidence relevant training and overall compliance with AMHP (approval) Regulations 2008 (including reapproval at least every 5 years).
Applicants Must be over 18 years, be registered with SWE and hold a full UK driving licence.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Social Worker to join our Mental Health team in Bolton. You will work collaboratively with health and social care colleagues to review assessments, support plans, placements, and carer assessments under the Care Act 2014, including section 117 aftercare under the Mental Health Act.
The role involves ensuring high-quality, needs-led, outcome-focused care, identifying safeguarding concerns, and applying the correct legal frameworks under the Mental Capacity Act. We offer manageable caseloads, reflective supervision, and professional development opportunities.
You’ll play a key role in reducing inequalities and stigma, supporting people with severe mental illness within a strengths-based model.

About You
We’re seeking a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, with experience in adult social care and mental health. You’ll be a creative thinker with a passion for evidence-informed practice, collaboration, and promoting equality and diversity.
Strong skills in reviewing care needs, identifying unmet needs, and ensuring appropriate use of resources are essential. You should be able to address provider quality issues and work effectively with health partners and wider council services to achieve positive outcomes. Knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and related legislation is required.
AMHP qualification is desirable, or you can work toward this through our development programme. You’ll be a motivated team player committed to improving services for adults with severe mental illness, supported by professional guidance, supervision, and opportunities for development
