We are seeking to recruit a Receptionist on a fixed-term basis, for the Orthodontic department – Whipps Cross Hospital, as a part time position, for 22.5 hours per week, Monday, Thursday and Friday, including early starts (8.45am).
The successful candidate will work with the Orthodontic team, based at Whipps Cross University hospital, Barts Health, but may be required to work across other sites if service needs are to be fulfilled.
We are looking for a professional and reliable individual to provide an efficient and effective Reception service to patients and visitors.
You will be confident in dealing with confidential issues and be able to provide excellent customer service, ensuring patients are accurately recorded on to the Trusts IT system. You will have strong interpersonal skills.

Please note: When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High Cost Area Supplement) is not included for non-medical roles. This ensures fairness and consistency within our organisation, as some of our sites fall under inner HCAS, while others are classified as outer HCAS.

To ensure the smooth running of the Reception area of the Orthodontic department. To provide administration and clerical support. To be the first point of contact for Patients and Carers, face to face and over the telephone. To book appointments and outcome attendances on the Trust IT system. Update Patient data regularly. Retrieve, prepare and file patient notes daily. Receive, date stamp and register new patient referrals daily, in preparation for Consultant vetting and all general post to be distributed accordingly.
