To assist in all administrative aspects of the Lung Cancer Screening Programme (LCSP) To conduct a telephone questionnaire with those patients identified for a Lung Health Check. Working closely with clinical team to support patient flow and positive patient experience Be able to refer and sign post to the clinical team as appropriate for complex decisions Maintain the LCSP, PAS and Infoflex services database. Responsible for inputting and amending data accurately and securely. Support the provision of the helpline service by resolving queries referred to the LCSP. Deal with queries from patients/relatives confidentially and sensitively and refer on to the appropriate area for resolution if required. Provide patients/relatives with general non-clinical advice and information about the LCSP. Implement the national guidance for setting up a LSCP which will continuously evolve. Prepare for screening clinics including patient note retrieval and tracking of patients progress within the screening pathway. Maintain accurate tracer records of patients notes. Track the progress of screening patients through the pathway ensuring that radiology results are received in line with the national guidelines for the programme. Contacting pathology departments to ensure that the reports are completed within the 7 day target for all patients. Collect data relating to all screening patients and prepare statistical reports Maintain a database of all surveillance screening patients Work with MDT coordinators to ensure that screening patients diagnosed with cancer are added to an appropriate MDT and ensure that all paperwork relating to these patients is shared with the MDT coordinators and cancer teams. Work alongside the PTL team and update Infloflex system. Ensure supplies of patient literature are ordered and maintained from NHSE. Work autonomously as an effective team member. Manage meeting processes, including MDT and SRM, preparing agendas, taking, producing, and circulating accurate minutes of meetings. Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the radiology teams, the hub, Cancer Clinical Teams, public health, MDT co-coordinators and consultant secretaries Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other departments so as to ensure that diagnostic tests and treatments are undertaken in agreed time frames. Produce ad hoc reports when required. Inform the Lung Cancer Screening Programme Manager of any data or organisational issues that may arise. Inform Lung Cancer Screening Programme Manager of any issues relating to patient pathways Attend Trust or screening programme meetings as required. Ensure confidentiality and security of data in accordance with organisational requirements and in line with the data protection act. Provide limited cover for absence for other administrator/s as appropriate and possible within time available. Ensure attendance at department training sessions as required for professional/service development
