Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00
Contract Type: Temporary
Contract Duration: February 2026 – May 2026

A leading facilities management provider is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support operations at a large-scale engineering and manufacturing site in Crewe. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer to join a well-established maintenance team on a fixed-term contract.

Role Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and equipment

Perform reactive maintenance and fault finding across mechanical systems

Maintain and repair HVAC, pumps, pipework and associated plant equipment

Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with compliance standards

Complete job reports and maintenance records accurately

Work closely with site teams and contractors to ensure efficient service delivery

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience working as a Mechanical Engineer or Maintenance Engineer within commercial, industrial, or manufacturing environments

Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and plant equipment

Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship

Ability to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions

Strong health and safety awareness

Reliable with good communication and teamwork skills

Right to work in the UK
