Where will you be working?
We help our clients safeguard the water supply, improve environmental performance and manage demand for future generations. We enhance and extend asset life, ensuring compliance with water quality and environmental standards. We’re problem solvers with over 140 years of combined experience in engineering and infrastructure.
This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Procurement Administrator based in Colchester, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth operation of our procurement processes. You’ll be responsible for raising Purchase Orders through our centralised purchasing system and arranging plant and fleet orders to site, ensuring all activity aligns with operational requirements. Accuracy in cost allocation is essential, as you’ll ensure all purchases are charged to the correct projects and codes.
You will support governance across the procurement function by ensuring all material and plant orders follow the Schedule of Delegated Authorities (SODA). Your responsibilities will also include invoice matching, resolving any queries, and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers. Close collaboration with site teams will be central to the role, helping to manage the day-to-day cost administration of projects.
In addition to your core procurement duties, you will assist the Commercial Teams with various tasks as needed, contributing to the effective delivery of the wider business objectives. The role also includes elements of Payroll Administration, requiring strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to supporting the team.
