The Role:

The Accounts Payable Administrator is a key role within our busy Accounts Payable department responsible for the processing of volumes in excess of 13,000 per month. Ability to support in maintaining the purchase ledger across all our care homes and to work closely with our suppliers and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:


Loading and processing supplier invoices, credit notes and expenses onto the company’s financial system
Checking of petty cash replenishments including logging those received onto the spreadsheet
​​​Resolving supplier phone and email queries
​Assistance with checking and validating weekly Accounts Payable payment run files
Support with reconciling supplier statements on a monthly basis
​​​​​​Supporting the Accounts Payable and Cashiering Manager with any annual audit or other supplier reporting requirements


What We're Looking For:


Experience in an administrative role ideally within a finance team
Experience in a high volume accounts payable department, being able to demonstrate high levels of technical competence relating to ledger and statement reconciliations and a working knowledge of double entry accounting transactions
Excellent data management skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Reconciliation experience (supplier statement reconciliations)
Competent Microsoft Office user
Ability to react to changing work volumes
Excellent communication skills, demonstrating an ability to develop effective and professional working relationships with both colleagues and suppliers.
